Device Bondage

My First Blush Posted by My First Blush on

Device bondage is a bondage type in which one person is immobilized with specialized equipment, furniture, and devices.

Such restriction of specific body movements is considered enjoyable for the participants in the activity, therefore device bondage is widely present in many dom/sub relationships and BDSM plays.

Just like many other BDSM acts, the device bondage is all about dominance and submission. The dominant partner, usually a male, has control over the equipment his partner is going to be tied up with. Typically, the reason for immobilization is to punish or humiliate the submissive. In most cases, the restrained individual is a female who is sexually teased and forced to do a limited number of sexual activities. Besides tying up his partner, the dominant partner can also choose to spice the game and whip the submissive, torture their nipples, blindfold, and tickle them.

Depending on the type and size of bondage, the bondage devices can be made from many different materials. Some of the most ordinary bondage devices include leather cuffs, rope ties, handcuffs, mummification tools, and stocks. Every accessory that immobilizes or restricts the movement of an individual is a bondage device.

Even though the handling of device bondage is, most of the time, pleasurable for the partners, they are recommended to talk about their boundaries and expectations before the act. Setting up a safeword is always a good idea because the submissive might not feel very comfortable to have sex while being heavily restricted and/or tortured.
