Is It Safe to Have Sex In the Coronavirus Outbreak? Can You Get Coronavirus from Sex?

My First Blush Posted by My First Blush on

Corona Virus Kissing

We know from the CDC that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is highly contagious, it has already infected over 110,000 people and shows no signs of stopping. Basic prevention always revolves around not touching our faces or eyes, but what about other parts of our bodies?

The CDC won’t warn us about sex - because that’s too risque for them. However it’s important to know what parts of our body are safe. We need to know that this outbreak should or shouldn’t stop us from being intimate with ourselves and our loved ones.

Don’t Stop Dating

Even though the people at Tinder have publicized their concerns with Coronavirus, we shouldn’t be forced to stop dating. If anything, online dating should be more prevalent - since you can’t get sick virtually! You can still be sexy, intimate, and loving through videos and texts.

If you really want to meet the person on the other side of the phone. Make sure to choose questions such as “have you traveled recently?”. This is a good approach to finding out more about your partner as well as knowing if they’re potentially sick.

Is Kissing Okay?

Kissing with people you trust is definitely okay, but make sure to think twice before kissing strangers or people you’ve met at the club. You’re likely to catch or spread Coronavirus through close contact like kissing.

Is it Safe to Have Sex During Coronavirus Outbreak?

It’s too early to tell whether or not Coronavirus can spread through sex - however at the moment it seems unlikely. Remember when you’re having sex, you’re already engaged in a lot of skin to skin contact, which increases your chances of getting Coronavirus.

Does that mean you need to practice celibacy? Absolutely not! Again the key point is to know your sexual partner. Good communication and trust will definitely help prevent spreading the disease.

Sex Toys

If you’re really worried about physical contact with other people, I’d suggest you try using sex toys instead! There’s no reason you can’t use your favorite toys, just make sure to wash your hands and your toys before use. Here are some amazing toy cleaners that you should definitely use.

P.S. Just remember don’t use hand sanitizer as a lube - that’ll definitely hurt!
